Inappropriate?Hi LIz
Sorry you are experiencing these problems. I have seen this error before but only with blogger image posting.
Are you trying to post an image to blogger? If so the most likely reason is that your picasaweb authentication hasn't worked. Try logging onto picasaweb.
http://www.picasaweb.com
Your credentials are the same as your blogger credentials. Once you have logged onto picasaweb successfully via a web browser your image posting should work (the picasaweb interface sets up your nickname automatically so all you have to do is log in). Alternatively re-input your choice of blog as blogger and LifeCast will ask you if you wish to authenticate your picasaweb account - choose to do so rather than canceling at this point.
If you are not trying to post an image to blogger please describe your problem some more and we can work through it togeher.
Regards
D.
I’m confident we can work this out

Inappropriate?Hi,
Thanks for the timely reply...
Actually I was just trying to post a plain-text entry. Back in LifeCast 1.0, I also had this problem, but the error message was something generic like "Post Failed", so I waited to see whether the new version can fix the problem...
I've also tried removing the blogger account and adding a new one, including setting up the picasaweb account, but still no luck.
The only thing specific about the my blogger acount is that I've set up an old blog site, and then deleted it... and replaced with a new one. But it was more than a year ago...
I've also used some 3rd party offline editing tools utilizing the blogger API on my Mac, and it was working...
Hope it can help with the problem...:)
Thx.

Inappropriate?Hi Liz
Hmmm - could it be that LifeCast is still seeing the old version of the blog and is trying to post to that?
I assume the blog you wish to post to appears (or seems to appear) in the list of blogger accounts associated with your credentials?
Qn. Does the blog you wish to post to have the same name as the blog you deleted and replaced?
if you answer 'Yes' then maybe (as a test) you could try renaming your desired target blog to something that is definitely unique and go through the configuration process again (sorry) or create a blog with a new unique name and see if the same problems occur when LifeCast attempts to post to it.
Let me know how you get on. What time zone are you in btw? Your answers are coming GMT!
Regards
D.
ps. Sorry for your troubles and thanks for persevering with LifeCast.
I’m undecided

Inappropriate? The blog has a different name, but you reminded me that maybe the name of the blog is causing trouble... Previously it was "Stupid Tent :: Refurbished", I think maybe the ":" might not be good, so I modified it to remove all the suspicious characters...
I also added another dummy blog, to see whether it shows up in LifeCast, but when I do a Connection Test, the blog list does not show up, and I always have a Settings Confirmed notification. I'm using EDGE right now, and I didn't see the traffic notifier beside the "E", I'll try again back at home using WIFI to see whether it's working...
I'm from China, actually. :) It's 5pm here...
Thanks a lot for your help. LifeCast is really great, btw. The interface is streamlined, and it has all the features I need... I just wish that it works with my blog... :|
I’m thankful

Inappropriate? It all sounds very confusing! Let me know how your WiFi test works.

Inappropriate?I've figured out why... The blogger API has been blocked by chinese authority in China, and there's nothing wrong on your side... All other offline blogging tool have also ceased working since July...
Nothing can be done with that...really... I can just hope that it gets unblocked one day...
Tons of thanks for following through, D...
I’m sad

Inappropriate?Wow, Liz, I just read your reply. That sucks. I wonder if it's to do with the Olypics.
Have you tried Tumblr ? Maybe they haven't blocked that one ? -
