LifeCast version 1.1 submitted to App Store
SleepyDog have submitted version 1.1 of LifeCast to the App Store. It will probably take a few days to be reviewed and then it will be available for download.
We really hope you like the improvements we have made. As always we look forward to getting your feedback. Here are the release notes for LC, ver 1.1.
Enhancements:
Blogger photo posting.
Blogger users. You can now post photos to your blog – Each Blogger account created has an associated picasaweb account (created when you sign up with Blogger). Picasaweb does require activation before posting your first picture: please log into http://picasaweb.google.com and complete the displayed form. LifeCast also gives you the opportunity to activate picasaweb while configuring your Blogger credentials.
Better Quality Photos.
The resolution of photos (both from the camera and picked from your library) is now much better, with a maximum size of 800×600 pixels. Be aware however that this will mean posting a photo over the cell network will probably take longer than previously. Also, because of bugs in the iPhone camera picker API you will no longer be able to crop and zoom photos – we’ll add this feature back as soon as the bugs get fixed.
Better Photo Interface.
If you tap on an image, the user interface (toolbar, navigation bar, etc) will disapear to allow you to view the image full screen. Rotation is also now supported.
Bug Fixes:
Tumblr line breaks missing
Text postings to Tumblr accounts now preserve line breaks.
Known issues:
Display Resizing
Sometimes the display fails to resize correctly after rotating the image view. This is due to API bugs that are scheduled to be fixed in the next firmware release. Tap the image a couple of times to make it resize.
Pan and Zoom
Pan and zoom of image display is not currently supported. We plan to add this in a future release.
Tumblr Resizing Images
Images posted to Tumblr do not retain their larger size – this is a Tumblr issue, in which it appears to scale down posted images.

Inappropriate?Great work! But i hope that Wordpress support will soon make it to the app as well :)
I’m confident

yes - we WILL be supporting wordpress. Our development is going well, it's due in version 1.2 which we hope will be in the app store in about a month...

Inappropriate?Oke just one little suggestion: As you know wordpress released an app as well. Nice and all, but i want to stick to LifeCast. Please take a look at some reviews of the app that are on the web. There have been some issues (for example editing posts after publishing) and lack of functionality. If you can work out a more solid/enjoyable user experience that the half-baked (my personal opinion) Wordpress app than this would be good for the LifeCast community.
Thanks for your time :)
I’m excited

oh we definately look!
We are addressing a lot of the issues that people raise. The number one issue was a lack of images in blogger - (sorted it's in 1.1). re - editing posts - we are obviously looking at this - however did you realise Tumblr doesn't allow that in any shape or form? blogger yes - and wordpress yes - so that is to come in the future.
Thanks for the input

Inappropriate?LifeCast is awesome. I never cared about blogging before. It just wasn't interesting to me. Now with an iPhone and LifeCast I'm hooked! It is just so much fun. I plan to use it extensively when I go to Las Vegas in a couple of weeks.
