Post TwitPics with a Comment
When you post with TwitPic you can add a tweet before you upload your image. It would be nice if LifeCast would allow you to do a similar thing. (BTW, very nice job on the posting images to Twitter mechanism!)

Inappropriate? So, does this mean that the act of posting a picture results in two tweets?
What is this useful for? (I am not a major twitter user)
if we knew the reason/use we may be able to go a step further. -
Inappropriate? It actually posts the comment along with a shortened URL in the same tweet.
Like, This is a cool picture, http://178s.kd ... (or whatever, and that's a fake URL, people >.< ) I am not sure but I would imagine that the URL counts against the 140 characters allowed in the tweet but I think the shortened URLs are fixed length.
Hope this helps.
I’m giddy like a schoolgirl 8^P

Inappropriate?hmmm, and what happens if you put text in the 'title' of the lifecast entry?
-
Inappropriate? The title is discarded in the posting process so you just end up with the short URL.
-
Inappropriate?Ok, That sounds like a bug, I will look into it.
-
Inappropriate?A potential problem, if you were looking at using the title... The title may support 100+ characters but it won't display very well in LifeCast.
It almost seems like there needs to be a "layer" with the picture and a "layer" with the text contents of the entry. And maybe I'm the only person in the universe who cares and it's a non-starter... >.< Cheers!
I’m feeling pretty good... thank you very much!
-
Inappropriate?Well, that change would require alterations of the lifecast client side, whereas using the title just needs a change to the backend. So, I thought as an interim fix, using the title would be a good first step.
-
Inappropriate?Agreed - that would be a nice fix.
