styling "Posted with LifeCast" text
Would it be possible to wrap a
around the "Posted with LifeCast" text in tumblr so that I can style it and separate it from the body text a bit?

Inappropriate?hey man. the normal reason why someone would request this is so they could hide it really, lets be honest! :) - but who knows about template features in the future - right now the destinations and targets are the areas i believe they are focusing on.
I’m chillin.

Inappropriate?Hi Christopher
It 'is' possible and it is also one of the things we are 'considering' at the moment as well as giving users the option to dispense with the "Posted with LifeCast" tag altogether. To be honest though, it's not a high priority for two reasons...
1. As Phil said our main drive is to implement other target blogs &
2. This tag is currently our very best way of promoting our product, it's kinda discreet but it helps us a great deal.

I’m undecided

Yeah I appreciate importance of the link back to your site and believe me I will keep it there because I'm really enjoying posting to my tumblr blog with the iphone. How about starting the "posted with lifecast" line with a small logo (maybe 16x16). That in itself would set it apart from my main text a bit. -
that mate - is a really fine idea.... simplicity itself - which is always best... -
Inappropriate?I like the idea. I suppose the "normal" reason for most people would be to hide the "Posted with LifeCast" text, but all I want to do is visually differentiate it from what I write. Which I can't really do on Tumblr. But I could do on Blogger by manually editing the post to add a class or id around the LifeCast link and adding a custom style for it to my CSS. A bit of a pain. But the visually anal-retentive will do it, you know they will.

Inappropriate?hmmmm - cheryl - how would you envisage such a thing (ability) being implemented? I mean it's easy to implement the "get rid of this tag checkbox" - user ticks and it's gone. But what would be an acceptable set of user actions for the desired affect of ...
[div class="couldbeanythinghere"]Posted with LifeCast[/]*
We are thinking of a preferences area of the app (just thinking mind - we have loads of stuff to implement) - maybe it could go there?

*used ][ cos angled brackets get lost in translation :-)
I’m confident

Inappropriate?I don't know that you have to have user actions allowing us to decide how we want to handle it. I would personally be happy with:
<div class="lifecast">Posted with Lifecast</div>
so that I can add a style for it if I'm using a system that allows me to edit my CSS stylesheet.
I suppose to make that user actionable, there could be a tick box "add CSS class to Lifecast link" or some such.
Otherwise I have no idea how you'd add it except perhaps an advanced configuration area that allowed users to set up their own inline styling - but that way madness lies. ;)
I’m excited

Inappropriate?FYI I used Postable to quickly make use of angle brackets: http://www.elliotswan.com/postable/
I’m happy
