I put together my first slidecast today. It worked (via secret url) fine on mozilla, but would not upload when access via IE 7. Now I find that the audio is missing altogether! The mp3 file is still linked, but the audio is not there when I play the file.
When I got to the add contacts page, it tells me to name my contact list. When I do that and hit submit, it tells me to add a contact, but there is no link on the page for adding a contact! AUGH. See attached screenshot. I've tried on Firefox and Safari.
I uploaded a slideshow to my account with no trouble, but then decided that I needed to change a few things in it before I transferred it to my webpage. So I went back to my original powerpoint within my own computer, made the changes, and tried to upload the new version to my account. The problem is that whenever I upload the newer, saved version of my slideshow, the old version shows up rather than the new version with my saved changes. I have tried changing the name of the slideshow, changing the name of the powerpoint, uploading it from a different folder on my computer, and I have even created a new slideshare account. Even when I upload it to my different slideshare account it still comes up as the old version. I am absolutely stumped. The only thing I can think to do is to create a completely new powerpoint presentation, but I don't even know if that will work. Any help you can provide me would be greatly appreciated.
I wanted to test the "email upload" feature, and sent two files to my Slideshare email account.
I've been waiting some hours, and now, 22 hours later, still cannot see any of my files in my Slidespace. I haven't received any confirmation message neither.
Is this long delay normal, or the "email upload" feature doesn't work at all?
Comment dates are incorrect on many slideshows, especially some contest entries, but not all. Ex: a comment made an hour ago is registered as a year ago. Preso is not a year old, so this is impossible. Comments appear to be in order, if you read them, but dates are jumbled and different from dates comments were made. Just an FYI--it seems odd, and not occurring everywhere.
I'm doing a slidecast when syncronize it with the audio and I saved it and publish it seems to work the syncrozized only the first slide sincronized. http://www.slideshare.net/olga_boyd/1...
It seems not to be saving the syncronization audio with the slides!!! I need help, I tried this in IE and FF and doesn't seems to work!!! I have used the "save and publish" button Sorry for my bad english
I synchronized all my slides to the audio, but when I saved and previewed my work, the different set points weren't there. So I have a 12-slide show that shows only the first slide. I can move from slide to slide with the forward arrow, but the audio doesn't move with the slides. There are no slide marks showing in the audio bar. I completely erased all the slide marks, started all over again, and re-saved but got the same miserable result. Any suggestions?
I'd like to know whether we need to do anything in our native presentation authoring programs to enable hyperlinks to be taken into SlideShare? I see the company is working on this. This seems to be one of the major issues for SlideShare to solve.
What's up with logging in? I can only log in if I use the URL in my confirmation email. If I log out and try to log in again, my login/password is NOT recognized!
I tried to change my password, to hopefully fix that problem. No joy!
I tried clicking on the link that says, "Forgot password?" I still haven't gotten the email with the link to CHANGE THE PASSWORD.
This site is a great idea, but the execution sucks!
I am trying to upload an audio mp3 file to my slides. I keep getting an "oops" message telling me that my file isn't accessible from your servers. The message says that this may be because I have entered the wrong URL or because my file hosting server is not responding.
Well... I am copying and pasting the URL and the site is a school site that everyone else in my class has been able to use to host their mp3 and upload them to slides share, so what is going on? I have been having this problem for a few weeks and I need to get this problem resolved asap for my deadlines. Thanks for the help.
Why is there no "add comments" on my new slideshow? The option to add comments appears on my other shows and also the transcript. This one has neither.
