Why am I asked to invite friends to SlideShare every time I sign in?. Last reply on March 25, 2008 07:30.

I've already declined to give my email passwords to SlideShare, but it keeps asking for them and trying to email my friends. I've already said no, but every time I sign in SlideShare wants me to change my mind. Why won't my decision be respected?

Asking for 3rd party passwords Last reply on March 25, 2008 07:22.

Please don't ask for people's Gmail and Yahoo passwords. While the marketing benefit might seem too good to resist, it really just teaches people how to be phished. Believe me, if the service is awesome, I'll tell my friends :D

Adding the new privacy feature to the Slideshare API (please!) Last reply on November 08, 2007 13:29.

It's great to see the new privacy option in Slideshare - I've been hoping this was in the works!

What I would really like to know is, are there plans to update the API so that the privacy setting can be set when uploading a file from a third party site?

    Many thanks

    Simon
