As you website says, '6 slideshare employees are listening and participating', then how come my question, asked many days ago remained unanswered. Question again, when we embed the slides in our website, are the slides suppose to play on our site, or does the link takes us to slideshare.net site? thanks
youtube plays embedded videos on personal websites, so I was in the impression that your site does the same. I am using firefox browser.

Inappropriate?Sorry! Ate too much turkey (actually there is no excuse)
Anyway, the slides are supposed to play on your site, the link at the bottom right is supposed to take you to the url for the those slides on SlideShare. If you send me a link to where your slides are embedded, I might be able to help you.
Thanks! -
Inappropriate?Thanks for the reply,
here is the link to my site: http://chooseislam.org/
I tried to insert, embed, my sample slides, as you can see from the icon of slideshare. When I click on 'view' i was under the impression that the slides will play on my site, but instead it takes my to your site.
Appreciate your assistance,
Regards,

Inappropriate?I think there is some problem with the code that you have embedded. Go back to your slides and make sure you copy the whole code from your slides (from the box titled: Embed in your blog).
You will find examples of what the slideshow embedded into your blog should look like

Inappropriate?yes, I believe i did copied the whole code, but just in case I did not below is the code: can you please visit the slides I am interested and see if I am using the whole code? Here is the code below and the link to the slides:

Inappropriate?Looks like it works! There's the slideshow right there.
Based on this I'd guess your blog software is stripping out the embed tags. You may need to add a plugin or otherwise white-list those tags to get this slideshow to appear. Have you had success getting other widgets to appear there?

Inappropriate? Thanks for replying Thor, it seems to work when I insert the code in this reply pane, but when I try to do the same on my site I am only getting an icon of slideshare without the actual slides appear on my site.
What plugin I need to add and what is 'white-listing those tags' mean??
regards.

Inappropriate? This is probably with your publishing software, which looks to be Joomla. I don't know anything about that software, but it may require an extension or plugin to properly render javascript widgets like this. You can check on their site, perhaps here: http://extensions.joomla.org/

Inappropriate? The other thing you might try is to turn off the rich text editor (if you are using one), and use the text only version. I know that SlideShare embeds sometimes are a problem on Wordpress if you are using the rich text editor.
Let me know if the problem remains.
