Can't sign-up (or report an error) because the captcha isn't loading!

Sign-up simply isn't working. I see no captcha image at all and clicking on Join Now does nothing.

Edi, can you tell me if you have JavaScript enabled on your browser? If you do and you still have this trouble, please try a force refresh of the page (Ctrl-F5 on most browsers) and let me know if that works.

Of course refreshing doesn't work.. (?). Think something's stuck in my cache? I don't believe so. I'll leave the scouting up to someone else, sorry. Try it for yourself on different browsers (FF, IE, Chrome, same failures) with XP SP2, or try to catch others who have had the same issue, if they will take the time to report it before moving on.

I must add - excellent response time. That is greatly appreciated.

The more important thing was about JavaScript. The Join Now link calls a piece of JavaScript code, so typically if that's disabled due to security settings in your browser it doesn't work.

Alternatively, sometimes the JS may not have downloaded and a force refresh would correct that.

I have no trouble with Java on other sites, but just can't seem to get the signup to work at all.

Craig, this is JavaScript, not Java and sometimes a browser add-on like AdBlock or NoScript may block it from executing.

Clicking on "Join now" doesn't work? Or do you have some other problem signing up?

I have now managed to join using the computer at work! The issue must be on my home machine. Clicking the join now button produced no activity. There was no progression onto the captcha page. Adbock was disabled.

I suspect it may be have been a kaspersky internet security issue, but anyway its irrelevant now!

Do let us know which browser you are Using?
Also, delete temporary internet files ad cookies from your computer and then try to signup.

I had the same problem, but I got it to work when I disabled all the addons in Firefox. Don't know which one was causing it, but one of them was.

I'm having the same problem. I deleted all temporary internet files and cookies and did a refresh and it didn't work. I'm in IE 7.0. I'm not as techie as I see most of you are and haven't a clue about how to disable JavaScript or even where it's found. Any help would be appreciated. I'd love to sign up for this service, but it's getting a bit frustrating!

Hi Susan, I can well understand the frustration here. It appears to be a problem specific to Slideshare, as have had the same problem here but never anywhere else. I have IE8. You could check the following in IE7 Click on Tools, Internet Options, Privacy, Custom Level, Scripting (active scripting), enable. Then go down to Scripting of Java applets, enable. If you have these two already enabled, I cannot suggest anything else at this stage.

I have attempted to register several times and the question are you human does not display the caption code for me to enter the text. This is very frustrating.

I can't sign up for slide share, and I AM human (at last check). Please inform me when the problem is fixed. Thanx -E
