The company marked this problem solved.

Inappropriate?Let me try to be more specific: My version of this same problem is that the Synchronization Tool display is blank. My browser keeps looking for <http://s3.amazonaws.com/crossdomain.xml> but cannot locate it. (The slide show was correctly uploaded and can be viewed, and the linked audio file was also correctly uploaded onto Internet Archive.)
Your complaint seems to be the most recent one in a string of related topics in recent months, even though the company claims that this problem was solved 10 months ago. Is anyone there paying attention?
I’m frustrated

I have exactly the same problem, I sent a message to the webmaster, but no reply. -
Inappropriate? In my case, after much testing, I could solve the problem by changing the browser. With Mozilla Firefox was left in standby mode, in contrast with IE could be perfectly synchronized.
-
I have tried both Firefox and Safari but it did not work. Do I understand correctly that by using IE you did get it to work? -
Inappropriate?Betina, I'm not understanding exactly how you solve the problem. Can you explain what you did? What is Firefox "standby mode?"
The problem I'm experiencing is that the audio plays fine in the editor, but not when published. The published slideshow doesn't have the audio synchronized properly and the end of the audio is incomplete. The audio stops playing before the end of the recording.
Here's an example. If you go to the end of the audio, you'll see that the audio ends abruptly:

Inappropriate?I usually go surfing with Firefox, but for the slidcaste I have no other option but to go with IE. It's the only way I could synchronize music with slides, through IE. Obviously an error of incompatibility of the site.
Sorry if my English is errors, I write with a translator.
-
Inappropriate?Thank you for the information Betina! I will use IE and see if things work better next time.
-
Inappropriate?I plublished 3 slides 4 weeks ago, and today, I realised that the music isn't working.
Now I load the music again , but it's impossible to synchornise with the pict's.
I can't undersand what's going on.
-
Inappropriate?IE = Internet Explorer (browser)
-
Inappropriate?I agree IE is the only browser that the slidecast synchronizer will work with.
-
Inappropriate?I get the same "not found" error at <http://s3.amazonaws.com/crossdomain.xml> with with Safari, too.
So, IE only? That leaves out all Mac and Linux users?
If that's the case, it should be clearly noted on all of the Synchronizer tool pages.
Bad mood.

Inappropriate?I just tried synchronization using Internet Explorer on my friend’s PC. Alas, the Synchronization Tool still does not display my slides.
Oh, well, Slidecasting is a nice idea, anyway. Even if this particular vendor cannot get it to work reliably.
I’m resigned.
-
Inappropriate? This was a problem with Flash Player 10 that broke something in our sync tool. We've fixed this today and it should be back to working now.
Let us know if you still have trouble.
I’m happy

Inappropriate?I'm still having problems. My audio is still incomplete. I tried editing the slidecast and re-saving. I'm using Firefox 3 And Flash 9.
Here is an example of the problem slidecast. If you fastforward to the end, the audio is cut off. Plus, the transitions are incorrect. It plays perfectly from within the sync tool: http://tinyurl.com/6jdvoq
Should I remove the link to the MP3 and start over? I have four slideshows with this problem. It would be a bit of work. -
Inappropriate? It still doesn't work. The blue bars do not show up at all. It happens on several computer I've tested it on. And once I save AND publish my slideshow, it still doesn't play any audio.
Then when I go back into edit slidecast, it doesn't remember all the work I've done!!! VERY FRUSTRATING AS I USE THIS FOR MY WORK, AND IT IS VERY UNPROFESSIONAL TO HAVE OUR MATERIAL KEEP DISAPPEARNING. NOT TO MENTION COSTING US A LOT OF MONEY IN TIME FOR PEOPLE TO KEEP RE-DOING WORK WHICH DOESN'T EVEN STAY THE SECOND TIME!!!!!!!!!!
I’m ANGRY
-
Inappropriate?@Andrew I'm taking a look at this. In the past we've had reports of such problems and it's usually been because of an improper save of the mp3 or a problem with the encoding.
-
Inappropriate?@Andrew, I just watched your slidecast and it seems to play completely to 7m27s. I downloaded the audio and that's an MP3 of 7m27s. It ends with "Let's start with Sam."
I didn't notice any sync issues either. Is there some other problem you're having?
I’m happy
-
Inappropriate?@Ashwan, When I play the audio in PC Firefox 3 and IE 7 with Flash 9, I only hear the audio through slide 20. That last thing I hear is "if people could hear the stories..." And throughout, the sides are not transitioning correctly.
Which version of Flash are you using when you test it?
-
Inappropriate?I too have been having this problem. I upload my work and tried to create a slide cast but nothing works. I was able to get something 4 or 5 days ago, but it was my first time playing with it. Now when I add the mp3 nothing happens. The page comes up but no ppt or mp3.
I’m just wanting this to work
-
Inappropriate?@Andrew: I was using Firefox 3 and Flash 10, but I had someone else test it with Flash 9 too.
@blasyj Could you share a screenshot of the sync tool as you see it? -
Inappropriate?@Ashwan: I tested my slidecast on 5 different computers and only one played the audio properly. The one that worked was Mac Firefox 3 with Flash 10.
Three PCs and one Mac (all with Flash 9) failed to play the audio properly. They play the audio identically, but all don't sync up with the transitions properly and all end before the audio is finished.
