embedding problems with wordpress

wordpress embedding. when embedding slideshare on my own hosted wordpress blog i get formatting errors and it goes all wonky

i cut and paste in html, not wysiwyg but it still faults out

ideas?

Inappropriate?

Sorry to hear that.

This is a setting in some versions of Wordpress that converts div tags to p tags. This may break your blog's layout.

Here's a quick fix:

# Login to your Wordpress blog
# Open the 'Users' tab
# Open the 'Your Profile' tab
# Under 'Personal Options' uncheck the check box labeled 'Use the visual editor when writing'
# Click the 'Update Profile' button

# Now copy your embed code from SlideShare and paste it in the 'Code' view in your blog post.
