How do links work in slideshare files?
I notice in some of my slideshare files the links sometimes are clickable and other times there not. What is the policy on links and what is the correct process for embedding them?

Internal links (to other slides) don't work. All other links should work.
However, there is a conflict between the navigation of back/next and links. If the links are to the left or the right side of the page, then often they will not work, since your mouse click will be interpreted as navigation (we are going to reduce the area of the right left navigation) so that more links will work.
if your problem does not fall into either of these categories, then please post a full description, along with a link to the slideshow in question and I will look into it.
Thanks for using SlideShare!

Hi Rashmi,
I created a couple decks on Google Docs, downloaded as PPT, uploaded to SlideShare and the links are not clickable (but are in PPT and GOOG).

Inappropriate?Chris,
This seems some sort of a conversion problem with a particular server. In fact, it might be useful as a test case to understand the problem. I downloaded and reuploaded your files. [http://www.slideshare.net/rashmi/scal...]. The links work in it.
If you reupload, it should be fine. But please don't delete your previous scaling one for time being, as I am going to ask our engineer who focuses on this to look into what happened.

Inappropriate?I'm having a similar problem. I uploaded a presentation and the links are being interpreted as back buttons instead. Any suggestions?

Inappropriate?I've uploaded my ppt twice and the links on the last slide still do not work. http://www.slideshare.net/bpittman/bl...
I’m undecided

Inappropriate?I had the same problem. It appears that links only work if they are in the center of a slide. Anything too far left or right gets interpreted as a next page link.
Try centering your links and that should work.

Inappropriate?Yes,I have noticed too that the links will work at the center of the player (second 1/3).

Inappropriate?I've had this same issue with the last two presentations I have created.

Inappropriate? Why aren't links in the presentation transcript detected automatically and made clickable? This could solve the problem and also make the whole presentation more accessible.
I’m not thrilled
