Slide notes not showing up in SlideShare Notes tab
The Notes on my PowerPoint aren't showing up on the Notes tab in SlideShare (http://www.slideshare.net/bhc3/double...).

Rachel, Todd: We've fixed the bug with notes not appearing from PPTX files. You may need to re-upload your earlier presentations (using the Edit and replace feature so your comments and views don't get lost) to generate notes from them once more.

Inappropriate?Is this affecting the new Keynote uploads as well? I just tried it, and my notes didn't appear. -
Inappropriate?This issue has been going on for several months now. Still no fix? I expect this would be a higher priority. Many of my presentations don't make sense unless the notes are available.
Also, it would probably be nice if this issue was highlighted in the FAQ. It took me a lot of browsing to figure out this is a bug and not some other issue like user error.

Inappropriate?Todd, sorry this wasn't corrected here, but the notes feature has been fixed and live for a few months now. If you're not seeing slide notes on your presentation can you send us a link so we can investigate?

Inappropriate?Hi Ashwan, thanks for the quick response. I'll describe my problem in detail if it helps.
When I go to my slides, I will see the Notes tab briefly on the screen, but it usually disappears before I can click on it. If I am quick, I can click on it, but it says "No notes for slide #1..." etc.
The reason I thought it wasn't fixed is that I looked a quite a few slideshows from other contributors and I didn't see any notes for anyone's slides recently. So it's not just my slides that I am having this viewing problem with.
I am using Windows Vista SP1, Firefox browser 3.0.7, and I am creating my slides in Powerpoint 2007, saving as .ppt.

Inappropriate?I'm having the exact same problem (tab disappears, but if I catch it, it says "there are no notes"), in Windows XP, using IE 7.

Inappropriate?Still not working for me, although I see that it has worked for people who have uploaded presentations in the last month or two weeks. Any idea why it works for some people and not others? I even tried downloading someone else's presentation where the notes were working, and then immediately uploaded it - no notes.
This leads me to believe that either it only works with certain browsers (I've tried IE and Chrome), or it's a problem with certain accounts, but not others.
It's very, very frustrating to continuously be told "this problem has been fixed" but then continue to have the problem, and continue to see other people having the same problem.

The bug with notes has occured (and re-occured) for different reasons. Currently slide notes are not being created from PowerPoint 2007 files (pptx) We're working on fixing that in the next couple of days.
What file type are your presentations? -

This is great, it's finally working for me! I should mention though, that while it seems to work great for PowerPoint 2007 files with a .pptx extension, when I tried to upload a version of the same file that I had saved as PowerPoint 97-2003 type (with .ppt extension) it had trouble even displaying the slides.

I'm unable to add notes to my slides on http://www.slideshare.net/sfreimark/v... I uploaded a PDF and would like to annotate the individual pages by hand (I don't want to upload the Keynote file since I don't want to enable downloads for the source file; downloads of a PDF version are okay and that's the reason I uploaded a PDF of my presentation).

Inappropriate?So, I did get the notes to work, but now I've got a new problem which is that I re-uploaded the slides because I had to make a slight change, and now the notes are not aligned properly. The notes on slide 1 are fine, but the notes on slide 2 are actually from slide 10, and then it proceeds from there, with all the rest of them showing notes from a slide 8 slides later. I tried uploading again, and it doesn't seem to be updating the notes at all. I even made a change to the notes and it didn't show up.
I really don't want to have to delete my presentation and start over, since a bunch of people are already linking to it. Here's the presentation, by the way:

If it doesn't get slove with in 24 to 48 hours than you should give a feed back to administrator about your account problem. Inappropriate?I'm having this problem with a presentation that I uploaded today. I converted from pptx to ppt, and still no notes. The last presentation that I uploaded did not have this problem, so I'm confused!
