Slideshare does not stay connected to Linkedin
Slideshare does not work easily with LInkedin. Got it to work briefly, then not work, then almost work again.
SlideShare offers very little explanation about how to set up the Linkedin connection in their preferences.
To make my slidshow linked to Linkedin but only viewable to LInkedin connections... how exactly should my preferences be set up?
I do not want to make my slideshow viewable to "everyone". Should I make it embeddable? Should I choose an invisible url?
What is the setup to make it appear in LInkedin? My slidehow continues to disappear from LInkedin after being redefined in Slideshare prefs.
After making changes to my SlideShare prefs it reports an error 504.

Inappropriate?There are two ways to use SlideShare on LinkedIn.
1. Create a SlideShare id and link your account with the SlideShare app on LinkedIn
2. Use the SlideShare app on LinkedIn without a SlideShare id.
In the first case, only presentations that are completely public on SlideShare will show up in your LinkedIn account. On LinkedIn they will be visible to logged in LinkedIn users that are in your network.
In the second case your presentations are only visible on LinkedIn and not anywhere on the SlideShare website.
To achieve this, when you first add the LinkedIn app, you can choose NOT to link it with SlideShare. If you have already done that, you can "de-link" your SlideShare account from LinkedIn by going to the "My application settings" page and choosing to "De-link from SlideShare.net" at the bottom.
Any presentations you uploaded from the SlideShare.net site will disappear from LinkedIn (but will still be accessible from SlideShare.net.) You can now upload presentations on LinkedIn that will be only visible on LinkedIn.
In future if you choose to make your presentations available on SlideShare.net too, all you have to do is link your SlideShare id through the LinkedIn application and your presentations will automatically be visible in both places.
