Embedded slideshows cause errors because of forbidden files on Amazon S3 service.
After embedding my presentation here:
http://userfirstweb.com/255/slideshow...
I noticed that the page was returning four errors. Those errors are forbidden files being referenced from the Amazon S3 service. The files are:
http://s3.amazonaws.com/crossdomain.xml
http://s3.amazonaws.com/slideshare-au...
http://s3.amazonaws.com/slideshare-au...
http://s3.amazonaws.com/slideshare-au...
These files show up as errors in Safari. I'm seeing the same issue on another embedded slideshow here:
http://www.cloudfour.com/31/mobile-ts...
Although it only has one error which I suspect is because it does have an audio file whereas the first example I gave does not. -

new slideshow won't load
Uploaded slideshow and a thumbnail is visible, but when I click on the thumbnail the circular animation indicating that it's loading goes on for an extended time. I can download it, but not view it. It's set as private, but I'm logged into my account and also have a secret url. -

HELP! Audio/video won't play in PowerPoint Broadcast!
Audio/video objects embedded in, or linked to, a PowerPoint 2003 slide show supposedly won't play when viewed in a web browser, unless the slide show is saved as a PowerPoint Broadcast (or created via PowerPoint Producer).
They actually DO play for me when my slide show is saved on a local drive as a multifile webpage (even if it wasn't created via Producer). (Incidentally, because this works for me only for multifile webpages and not single file webpages, this means that audio/video objects are linked to, rather than embedded in, my slide show, just as they are in a PowerPoint Broadcast.)
But audio/video objects WON'T play for me when my slide show is saved as a PowerPoint Broadcast. This is so even when the slide show resides on a local drive, so it's not a matter of needing Windows Media Services installed (which is unnecessary for PowerPoint Broadcasts to ten or fewer simultaneous viewers anyway).
Does anyone have any idea why the audio/video won't play in my PowerPoint Broadcast? -

Conversion takes more than 7 hours?
Hi guys!
I'm currently unable to convert my Slides (normal ppt). First it worked but once I tried to update it stoped, also for every new attempt (e.g. http://www.slideshare.net/Helpedia/so...). My slides are now converting since 7 hours+ although some are only one word (for testing).
My fault, or did you crrently face any problems?
Thanks in advance! -

I open PowerPoint 2003 file in Impress, edit it and save in .PPT format. When I open in PowerPoint all original bullets are gone and each slide has one bullet that is same as slide title. How do I prevent this?
Impress is version 2.3 running under Windows XP on Asus EeePC w/8gb of memory. -

Is there a problem with the Facebook app?
I have been trying to upload files to the Facebook app several times over the last two weeks, with no success. On my first efforts, the files seemed to be stuck in "processing" mode forever; now, I get a message that the files have uploaded successfully, but they don't show up in my slidespace. What's up? -

Does anyone has the same trouble? -

Update the licence type
I uploaded two presentations under a BY-NC-ND CC licence and I would like to change it to a BY-NC-SA CC licence. Well, if I try to Edit and Update the presentations, my changes are not applied on the main page. Moreover, the symbol of the CC licence has disapeared from the main pages and the edit pages show only an unchangeable All Rights Reserved setting. Why?

Known bug with camtasia-produced mp3s and slideshare
Camtasia generates mp3 files that claim to have a bit rate of 0 kbps. While the files are actually fine, the file attribute is set incorrectly, and so it was not playable by the slideshare flash player. Simply opening the mp3 file in audacity, and then exporting it again fixed the problem for me.
