When I add or delete activities, they aren't there when I reopen the application.

Inappropriate?Hi - Sorry about this problem. Does it happen to you every single time?
We are working on a fix for this and it would be great if we could contact you and let you use the fixed version of Slife - we would like to see if it really addresses the problem.
Can you send us an email at help at slife labs? -
Inappropriate?I have the same problem - I've got 5 activities, but every time I add a new one it disappears straight after I click Save.
I’m very frustrated!
-
Which version of Slife are you running? The latest version? -
I'm using Version 2.0 Revision 10. Thanks -
Thanks - This helps. At first I thought you were referring to Slife Mac, not Windows. -
Inappropriate?I managed to add another activity by doing it straight after boot-up this morning. So maybe the problem happens when too many other apps running?
-
Inappropriate?I have the same problem too, I've just started using Slife for Mac version 2.0.2 and I have added several activities but when exit the program and started again all the activities I've added and the changes I've made to the existing ones have disappeared...
Is there anything I'm not doing correctly?
Thanks for helping

Inappropriate?Hmm.. We have Slife 2.1 coming out very soon. Based on our tests, there are no problems with activities with this new version.
Can you describe the steps that you take in detail, when the activities disappear? This would really help us replicate the problem here. -
Thanks for the quick reply! I'll try to describe what I've done -
Inappropriate?Hi ethomaz,
After installing Slife, I've started it and went to Activities, then:
1. First I've edited the 'checking email' activity and assign the program and set the goal, by clicking the 'configure' icon
2. Then I've added new activities, by clicking the + sign, set the goals and programs.
I've been working the whole friday with this setting and had no problems, at the end of the day I've switched off the computer.
When I switched on on sunday, all the new activities have dissapeared and also the changes I've made to 'checking email' activity.
I've repeated the process again, setting goals for existent activities and creating new ones, and then I've quit the program, and after starting it, again all the changes and new activities have dissapeared. That was the moment I've post the comment.
I have to say that after posting the problem I've read all the entries related to this issue and I've tried again to set some activities going little by little, and that time everything has worked fine.
I can't imagine why it worked the last time and not the two previous ones...
Regards,
I’m thankful

Thanks - Given how long this thread is, we will take a look at this seriously. There's definitely a bug in here somewhere. -
Inappropriate?I have the same problem using Mac OSX Slife v 2.02. I used the program extensively last week and upon turning on my machine and opening Slife today have no data nor activities present. The additional wrinkle that I would like to add is it seems to have remembered my "Idleness" and "Observation rate" settings under prefs.
I’m annoyed
-
Inappropriate?Slife has a setting under Preferences>General for removing activities after a certain period of time. I wonder if this is part of the problem. In the 2.1 release that is happening very soon, we are also addressing a few bugs related to the disappearance of activities.
-
Inappropriate?Any solution to this problem yet? I installed Slife today on my Mac, and get the same problem. I tried to reinstall it, deleted preference and support files a few times, but nothing helps. Not only are some new activities gone after a restart, but some of the names are garbled: "browse web" became "brow" for example, and the set goal was gone. Looks like a serious bug to me.
I’m frustrated

Inappropriate?Sorry for taking so long to get back to you. We've been very busy working on a whole new version of Slife and it's almost done now.
Many of the issues related to activity settings, visualizations, performance and other features are being addressed in this new release. We expect to be done with it very soon, within a week or two.
Thanks so much. We can't wait for the release and finally show you what we've been working on over the last several weeks.
