Automated export on all platforms
Slife's wonderful! And we want to automate data transfer to our database so we don't miss any data. We have integrators in our group, so as long as the data is readable we can make scripts to import it.
Where would our scripts find the data on the different platforms?
Thanks in advance!

Inappropriate?Hi Isak - I am glad you like Slife! I would love to find out more about how you are using the software.
As far as where the data is stored:
Mac: With the current version of Slife, the data store is at ~/Library/Application Support/Slife/EStore. The data is serialized, so you need to know what the data model is in order to unpack it. I can help you with that. Just shoot me an email (ethomaz at slife labs dot com). For version 2.0, we are going with Core Data, so it will be easier to have access to the data.
Windows: Under your 'My Documents' folder, there is going to be a Slife folder. Then all the XML files for the events are inside EStore.
Let me know how it goes.

Inappropriate?Thanks for the answer!
We want to use Slife in a clinical behavior research project with a focus on psychiatry. It could serve as a diagnostic metric, e.g. of attention or endurance. This would be interresting to correlate with sleeping patterns and medication.
The data would be stored together with health monitoring, psychological tests, A/V data in our platform for building data visualization and analysis applications, called Hypergene EOS. We are normally developing business intelligence applications, but we are curious about which patterns you'll see when you measure and individual instead of an organization. And more importantly, how you can tune those patterns...
I think we'll wait until the Slife 2.0 beta, but if we have time, we might start importing data from the Windows version.
Slife would make a nice bundle with Dream Recorder, btw! : )

Inappropriate?I didn't know about Dream Recorder. Very interesting app!
We would love to help you as much as possible with this project. Just let me know. Also, we've been experimenting with Slife in more business scenarios, as a performance management tool. If you are interested, we could chat more about that as well.
All the best.
