Pricing
60 bucks a year? No way. I'm fine with buying this software, but I won't pay for it on a monthly basis.
Should have known something like this was coming.
Well then, good bye and good luck!

Inappropriate?Hi there.
We believe we do something really unique in the time and productivity management space. Some people love to be able to track their time automatically, and many many people use Slife for business purposes. In that context, paying $5 a month is nothing.
If, on the other hand, you don't see the utility of Slife, even paying $1 would be too much, isn't it? We decided that we would rather charge for Slife and offer a kickass product for perhaps a smaller number of customers (with great support, etc), than let Slife struggle on the sidelines as a free download .
Anyways, that's how we see it.
Sorry to see you go, but best of luck! -

Inappropriate? This is an interesting point. When you offer a service online, there's always an ongoing cost. Every month, we need to send a check out to pay for servers, bandwidth, backups, payment processing, etc. If we were to charge a flat fee, we would have to make the economics work down the road somehow.
TiVo, for example, charges on a monthly basis around $12/month but also offers a lifetime plan, with a one-time charge and service for life. I don't know how much it costs exactly, but it's in the hundreds. And it's tied to your device.
Anyways, good food for thought, thanks for your feedback. We will keep this in mind and try to come up with a compromise. We really hate to see you go, and would love to avoid it if we could come up with a solution. Yearly fee at a significant discount instead of a monthly fee perhaps? -

Inappropriate?would be nice to have a 30 day trial without entering a credit card number. That's a deterrent for me as well.
I’m undecided

Inappropriate?Thank you. This is great feedback for us. Pricing a software product is pretty hard and we are trying to find the best compromise between cost and value. When you are talking about an online service, it becomes even trickier. We are definitely willing to experiment with different models to see what would work best for everybody.
