Slife & iPhone?
I love time tracking apps, but is there any chance of having an iPhone app with the new iPhone store coming out?

Inappropriate?Slife is unique because it sits in the background and observes what you do without any work on your part. On the iPhone, it looks like you might not be able to have apps running in the background at all times.
From what I understand, this is something that is still be decided (I have to admit I am following the developments from afar). But if possible, yes, we would love to have an iPhone version of Slife. -
Inappropriate?Basically I am looking for simple time tracking, entered manually. I still lug around my Treo 700p for this, as I use FileMaker Pro (and the now discontinued FIleMaker Mobile) for this task. I know FileMaker is quite web enabled these days, but I'm not opening up my database to the web.

Inappropriate?Ah, if you need just manual time tracking, there are lots of tools out there that are probably better suited to your needs. Here are some web-based ones:

There must be simple time tracking apps for the iPhone coming out too. -
Inappropriate?tHere are time tracking apps for the iPhone out there, but it would be nice to have integration with Slife. In addition, its underlying concept is clever and better than most I've seen. It generalizes naturally to iPhone. For example, phone calls to certain numbers correspond to activities.

Inappropriate? That would be awesome. We will look into it. Unfortunately the iPhone API is very limiting right now. It doesn't give developers the ability to interface with the phone's telephony system.

Inappropriate?any way to just create a manual logger app for the iphone that can periodically export its data to slife and integrate/sync? note that more and more people are replacing much of their computer time with iphone for many things such as email, reading news, blogs, facebook, etc.

Inappropriate?I think this is the direction we are going to take for now. We have some cool plans for Slife on iPhone. And it will be better and better the more Apple allows us to interface with their APIs

check out 'eternity', an interesting iphone app. it already allows logging of activities on iphone and it would be great if you could import its data or sync with slife. -
Cool! -
I mean an automated recording of all activities on the iphone including phone calls in & out with numbers (+associated details) and syncing it to your PC's Slife -
I mentioned some of the iPhone limitations in another post. Unfortunately one can run only one app at a time on the iPhone, so it's not possible for Slife to operate on the phone like it does on the desktop. Whenever it becomes possible, we'll be there!
