The Goals view isn't much use.
I've set goals to do more than 8 hours of work a day and to do less than two hours of blogging a day. But in the Goals view it shows I've achieved 0% of my goal for work and 100% of my goal for blogging. This isn't any use to me.
Surely it would be useful to know what percentage I have actually achieved. For example, say I've done 2 hours of work, so it should show as 25% achieved and if I'd done a half hour of blogging, that to should show as 25% achieved.

Inappropriate? The goals view represents how you are doing towards your goals for a whole month. So if you reach your goal 10 days out of the month (30 days of particular activity), it will show 34%.
So the goals view is not something that provides much value when you look at it from a single-day perspective. It's a longitudinal view of how you do over time.
But your confusion shows that we need to do a better job communicating that. I don't know if you had a chance to read the text at the bottom of the goals visualization - don't know if it clarifies things a bit. -
Inappropriate?I agree that we can improve in that area. RescueTime is quite nice, they are doing great work. Thanks for attaching the image.
It seems to me that the info this graph is showing is more closely related to what you see in the Activities view in Slife - How much time until you reach your goal, etc. The Goal view in Slife is more about how you are doing throughout the month.
In any case, thanks again! -
Inappropriate?I agree with Wavey - And It would be nice to have something that shows both daily and weekly goal achievements. After all, not all goals take a month to achieve!
For example, if I wanted to work at least 8 hours on a project during the current week, it would make it much more useful to look at my weekly goal chart to see how I am progressing towards my target.

Yes, we don't have anything for week at the moment. But for day you can at least see if you are over/under your goal in the Activities view.
