Ability to edit a goal even when there are pending transfers
I love the idea behind SmartyPig, but it seems like it takes forever for pending transfers to clear, and while they do wait in limbo, I cannot change any details about the goal. Why not accept the changes to your goal but wait to apply them after the payment has been cleared? Since I first created the goal, my price point has changed and I would love to update the name of the goal as well so I can share it with my friends, but I am stuck checking every day to see if the payment has cleared.

Thanks for the suggestion. This is something we have heard from a few folks and something we are certainly looking at. As you know, transactions pend three banking business days, and you are unable to edit your goal in anyway during this time. That said, we are looking at a couple things. One, reduce the pending transaction time period. And secondly, allow users to change certain info even during the pending transaction time period.

Inappropriate?Please add another vote for this idea. I just added a second goal, and right after I submitted it realized I had a typo in the goal title ... now I can't fix my spelling mistake until the initial transaction goes through...

Inappropriate?In my experience, transactions have usually taken around one full week/"5 business days" to post. When this is combined with the automatic monthly transfers, it means that my goals are uneditable for at least 25% of a given month. Add my regular manual contributions to the mix and.. you get the idea.
I’m also hoping for faster ACH -- *everybody* else is 2-3 days tops

Monthly contributions and adding funds to your account via ACH transactions take 3 banking business days to clear and post to your account. Please email me direct at mferrari(at)smartypig(dot)com and let me know exactly which transaction took 5 business days to clear in your account so we can research further.

I have some transfers pending right now, I'll see how long they take, and I'll email you the details if any of them ends up taking >3 business days.

Oops,. the End goal date --------------------over rides the monthly transfer. *%*$!
it changed the amount to a calculated transfer figure exceeding $ 1,200.00
This was unexpected.! How do I terminate this transfer.?

Inappropriate?An ACH transaction can be voided for a limited time on the day in which it was initiated. If your transaction is voidable, you can find the void button under the “Transaction History” tab of your goal. If a monthly contribution is voided, the monthly contribution will continue to draft the following month on the date you specified.
