Cueing up tapes in the tape tray
For next version/update, can you have the tape stay at the point in the recording where you eject it? That way it will be at that point in the recording when you bring it back into the player. I could cue up tapes that way prior to needing to play them back. Right now it loads all previously recorded materials back in at the beginning. This could be an option you check in the preferences.

Inappropriate? Is this something you'd like to see persisted between launches, or something that only works while TapeDeck is running?
-
Inappropriate?I think this would be a really good idea. Maybe one could choose in Preferences whether this should persist across launches (which would be handy) or just be "per session." (There could even be a button to "rewind all tapes to their beginning.")
I’m hoping too

Inappropriate?Yes I would like to see the tape stay at the location you stop it at next time program would launch. That way if there was a crash (say it ain't so) if you restart the program the tapes would still be at the location in the recording when you ejected the tape. If not possible then just within the current session, although having it stay between launches would be a bonus.
I’m really hoping now

Inappropriate? That would mean that the Pause key and Stop key do essentially the same thing.

Inappropriate?Yes and No. All I am looking for is to cue up a tape to the point I want to start the playback, then the next time I load this tape it would start to play at the point where it was ejected. Just like if I had a real tape cassette deck. I would cue the cassette tape up to a point and then eject it for later playback. When I reinsert the cassette it will be exactly where I need it.
For recording of sporting events, I need to cue up a tape to a highlight in a game that the Play By Play guy wants to air post game. I need to have anywhere from 10 to 20 highlights ready to playback post game. If Tape Deck would do this, I could cue up the highlights during time outs in the game which would then be played back in the post game.
I’m still hoping
