how about tapedeck for iphone?
How about tapedeck iphone?
Tapedeck seems cool, but i dont use my macbook that much now i have an iphone, plus my iphone is with me all the time. A tapedeck app on there would be very cool! Yeah we already have voice recorders, but tapedeck is so much cooler, and the upload to youtube would be great!

I hope it will also work on iPod. Daniel said 1 year ago : Stay tuned and 8 months ago: We are working on it. -
Inappropriate? That's like frickin' awesome, it would be the perfect interface for a recording app. Been thinking it was meant to be an iPhone app since it first came out.
I’m excited

Inappropriate?Just saw this http://itunes.apple.com/WebObjects/MZ... - Dont know if this is sanctioned but if it's not it is a complete but welcome rip of this application.
-
It's not sanctioned, nor welcomed.
Rest assured that we're hard at work on an iPhone version of TapeDeck and while we welcome competition in the (already quite crowded) sound recorder app space, we do not appreciate other developers “ripping” (as you put it) our design and artwork. We've contacted the developers of that other app and asked them to make some changes to differentiate their product.
Thanks for pointing it out. -
Inappropriate?I just bought the "ripped" app, which looks indeed almost identical. And when I tried to find it back in the App Store (to submit a review) I couldn't find it ! The name also changed to "Tapes". And on the developer's website there's no mention of the app (yet). There's something going on there...
Although I spent my money on it (no big deal), I totally agree with your actions to stop them. As I came to this website (through Google), my first impression was that you must have developed it for them !
I hope you'll come up with a solution, because there are a lot of recording apps in the iPhone universum, but there are many tastes. I have seen and tried them all, and none of them has the looks and features I want. Some perform well but look terrible, others look nice but lack features. (I think Tape Deck has the cleanest and funniest interface; Recorder spoilt theirs with a terrible EQ-layer...)
Good luck ! -
Inappropriate?an iphone is too small for a full-sized tape deck, i think you're going to have to switch to mini cassettes!

Inappropriate?I would love to have a TapeDeck app for the iPhone. In my imagination I would like to have TapeDeck iPhone to be an awesome field recording app. Something that supports third–party microphones (mind you I have no actual experience with third–party microphone devices so this may be easier/harder than I give it credit for) and a few different common EQ adjustments based on location (live music, wind, etc).
If it offered that sort of thing I would likely buy it. If it synced with the Mac Tape Deck I would buy that too.
I’m interested

Inappropriate? One benefit of having an iPhone version of TapeDeck would be to sync tapes with the desktop version. That way we could use mobile TapeDeck to play recorded internet streams without having to export to iTunes, sync them to the iPhone, then dig through a thousand songs to find the streams.
By the way, you guys are taking forever to develop your iPhone version. With all due respect, I'm surprised it's taking so long. -
Inappropriate? What's going to differentiate iPhone recording apps is hooking up with a hardware designer to provide a high-quality recording device that connects to the iPhone through the dock connector. I've been railing on this need for a year now.
The limitation of all of the existing iPhone apps is that you cannot control input levels, which make them all non-starters for any serious use (not to mention the lack of mic quality on the iPhone itself.)
Hook up with a hardware designer to provide a quality input snap-on, and you'll have the field to yourself, at least for a while.
