How about a way to drop an index marker while recording so that later it would be possible to jump to a marked location? Being able to add a comment and tags would be a great bonus. These could perhaps be stored in the metadata of the file containing a recording.

Inappropriate?This is useful for burning CDs also, a la SoundStudio. Drop the entire tape into iTUnes with the markers and you get a CD with tracks. -

Inappropriate?This feature would be really usefull for my work (analyse interviews). Just press a button ("M" for Marker) and the possibility (not obligatorily) to associate this marker with a name (or a theme).
An other usefull feature would be to control play, pause, rewind, foward with the keyboard, while I'm writing the text in Word.
And finally, the last thing really usefull would be to accelerate or slow down the play of the tape.
With these conditions, I'll certainly buy Tapedeck for my work.

Inappropriate?P.S. I notice that you often say "good idea, we'll see that for a future release". But it would be nice if you could regulary post a planification of the features you project to really add in the future releases.
Would it be possible please ? Because I can't buy Tapedeck now if I'm not certain that you will really add some features I'm waiting for to work with.

eden, I understand your frustration. Believe me, I've been missing this feature myself and look forward to including it in TapeDeck.
However, we can't commit to a specific timetable for this feature right now. If you're more comfortable holding off on purchasing TapeDeck until the features you need are shipping, I definitely respect that.
