Regression in 3.1.1: strange diagonal lines in Waterfall
Generating a waterfall graph in 3.1.1 results in a different display than in 3.0. Here is a comparison:
3.0 display:
3.1.1 display of the same file:
Also, in 3.1.1, the average level (except bass) of the initial signal is about 20 dB higher.
3.0 display:
3.1.1 display of the same file:
Also, in 3.1.1, the average level (except bass) of the initial signal is about 20 dB higher.

Inappropriate?I wouldn't call it a regression so much as a behavior change. This change in 3.1 is a step towards yet another change coming in 3.2 involving a new parameter in the waterfall window which lets you select the windowing routine used for calculating the individual slices of a waterfall.
In FuzzMeasure 3.0, I simply used a hamming window for each slice (and the position of the window was tweaked in 3.0.3 to provide better results), but the problem was that folks used to the windowing used in 3.0 (and 2.0) weren't happy with the results of that change.
So, I'm hoping to satisfy everyone in the future by allowing this to be controllable by the user.
In your example above, you'd obviously be better suited by the hamming (or hann) window to give you sharper resolution for narrow peaks in low frequencies.
