So what's this about importing...
There are no instructions for importing a tape. Moreover, MP3s / WAVs do not appear to be import-able. Is this a limitation of the demo version? Or is it a feature not yet implemented? Or does it only work with a specific (unmentioned) format?

Inappropriate?TapeDeck imports exactly what it exports - m4a files. You're typically going to import tapes that your friends/family/colleagues/etc send you.
Are you looking to import something else? -
I have an iPod w/recorder that records in WAV format. I currently upload the WAV file to iTunes where it is cataloged. But I think Tape deck would be a better solution. I could always convert the WAV file to M4a first, using yet another application, but it would be much more convenient to import directly or just drag and drop them directly to Tapedeck. Any chance this might be added in a future release? -
Note that iTunes can perform the WAV→M4A conversion—just right-click the track in iTunes and choose "Convert to AAC" (assuming your iTunes import settings are set to encode AAC and not MP3). -
Inappropriate? We can't talk about future releases with any certainty, but this does sound like a very useful feature. I have filed it as a feature request, and we'll consider it for a future release.
