For some reason snitter won't automatically refresh itslef so to get my tweets i have to keep on clicking manual refresh. I've set it to refresh 'friends' every one minute and i'm not exceeding the maximum requests per hour
I can't get snitter to work anymore. it's been cockahoop for at least a week. worked for months and months, but now it's dead. tried deleting the database earlier today, got some tweets immediately after, but no more for at least 12 hours from what is normally a very large, active group of twitterers. it's a real shame because everything else out there sucks dirty, filthy canal water.
A bunch of people have agreed with me one of the main problems with twitter clients is that it makes little sense to catch up a backlog of messages by starting at the bottom, scrolling upwards, and yet reading each message from top to bottom.
It would be great to have an option to order tweets so the most recent was at the bottom, and as they came in, it pushed other tweets UP - then when you want to read a tweet history, you only have to scroll down as you read down. Since twitter is much like a big IRC channel, I think a lot more people would be comfortable with this top->bottom approach of reading, and since it looks like no other twitter client does this right now, if Snitter started it, I think you'd get a huge increase in users for this reason alone.
Snitter is loading an empty page and I'm not receiving tweets anymore. When I choose the replies, they show up. I have uninstalled and reinstalled with the same result.
With 0.0028, I've been having some flakiness, where on Snitter startup, messages aren't retrieved. Hitting the Refresh Pane doesn't get them, and the filter is clear. If I leave the client running, they are eventually retrieved. I know this is a vague report, but I haven't seen consistency in the problem.
I would love some sort of visual queue when you have a direct message versus normal tweets... any by visual queue (flashing or different color icon?) I mean something in your task bar/dashboard not just when I have the app open. Another way would be to have direct messages stay at the top of your snitter box until you acknowledge them.
Snitter is no longer recognizing my Twitter account. No profile, no twits, nada. How do I fix this? I start it up and it remains blank. How do I get it to recognize my Twitter info?
After sending a direct message, the person that you sent it to appears as the author of your message.
Obviously, it should show your user as the author, rather than the recipient's.
I've found that Snitter throws a "Null" exception when clicking the "make link shorter" icon and no link is in the textfield. I've got a screenshot if you want it.
I updated Snitter to the latest version and the installation went well, as far as I can tell. But I started using it, I got the following error message, which I have no idea what it means: (I checked that I had the latest version of Abobe Air, which I do)
On the latest version of Snitter I can not get the window to move to the top of the screen. It keeps a gap about the size of the cursor. Why is this? Had no problems before updating. My other problems seem to come and go but revolve around moving the window at times but not sure if this is Snitter or OSX.
I just updated from .023 to .027 a little bit ago. I started up the new version and got tweets from some time ago in the list, though only a few. Now I don't get anything on startup. What gives? It used to load the 20 most recent tweets...
I want to resize my Snitter window, but it doesn't work at all. Plus the latest version (0.027) randomly crashes at Vista, I don't even get an error message. How to fix that??
Installed the new version after uninstalling the old one, but there's no program app, just a folder of components. I have the most recent version of AIR too, what's going on?
The current build of .027 is extremely prone to going into an endless loop of error messages about the rate limit.
I'm sure you know the error message, but the text reads "rate limit exceeded. Clients may not make more than 70 requests per hour"
This is despite the fact that as per the options page I'm at 54 calls/hours. Even dropping @ and D message refreshes to once every 10 minutes has no impact.
Sometimes, exiting the client and then reconnecting after an hour helps, but over the last 24 hours I have not been able to use Snitter at all.
been working fine but has started not recognising username and password , which work just fine on the actual twitter site. uninstalled and installed latest versions of air and snitter and still doing same
when looking at the "default" tweet timeline of activity, it would be great if there was a little indicator (icon?) indicating the relationship... ie are they following me as well or am I just following them?
Using Snitter 0.023, I just see "# of followers: Loading", but never any content in the followers pane. It may not make much difference in my daily Snitter use, but I can't know for sure.
