Rate limit exceeded error in .027
Hi Jonathan,
The current build of .027 is extremely prone to going into an endless loop of error messages about the rate limit.
I'm sure you know the error message, but the text reads "rate limit exceeded. Clients may not make more than 70 requests per hour"
This is despite the fact that as per the options page I'm at 54 calls/hours. Even dropping @ and D message refreshes to once every 10 minutes has no impact.
Sometimes, exiting the client and then reconnecting after an hour helps, but over the last 24 hours I have not been able to use Snitter at all.
Is there anything that can be done to fix this?

Inappropriate?Twitter lowered the rate limits for today due to MacWorld. Any app that uses the Twitter API has been affected. We can only wait until they change things back again.
I’m sad

Inappropriate? This thread about issues with Twitterfox over on the Twitter forums suggests it might be a problem on Twitter's side?
Another thread - same problem, client this time is twitterrific and spaz -
Inappropriate?Hey Jonathan!
Thanks for the info - I just checked the Twitter blog; while they talk about having slowdowns thanks to Mac World, it would have been nice if they had added an update about the rate limit.
Do we have any idea what the lowered rate limits are?
I’m annoyed with Twitter folks

Inappropriate?Alex just posted on the Twitter Dev forum and indicated that they're still in effect indefinitely.
