"View discussion" and "Comments" links do the same
In desktop application each message box contains "View discussion" and "Comments" links. They do the same thing - hide/show comments section. Is it intentional?

Inappropriate?They are only slightly different, clicking "Comments" will scroll to the bottom of the comments and put the focus on the comment input box where "View discussion" is just a toggle as you described. This difference is really only significant when there are a few comments on the message.
