Can groups be sorted?
Can group listings be sorted? I'm evaluating socialgo v NING and like that the groups can be placed in the left gutter and sorted from most members to least members, putting the more active groups at the top.
Can this be done with SG? in the layout manager?

Seconded! I would add "hidden" to the wishlist, as well, for backroom groups like mods or community managers that I don't necessarily want on the public view of the community. -

Inappropriate?Would be very cool to be able to promote a group (like you can on n**g). Same for phot'os and video's.
I used this functionality to be able to group groups with n**g.
Adding categories to groups, photo's and video's (like it is done with blogs) would of course be the best way of doing it.
