chat problem
My chat feature is not working, has not been for a couple of days, after all the problems with the site a week or so ago I decided to give it a couple of days but still not working as of today, many members have tried and I have tried with some in the same room on different computers and still not working, worked on these same computers before so I know its not the computers. Have just tested the chat system and it seems to be fine... will check on your network to see if it's a specific problem related to your site, and keep you posted.

Inappropriate?Tom also when it was working it would take atleast 10 rings before the receiver was notified that someone was trying to contact them, is that normal?

That can be normal it takes up to 30 seconds at times because the chat refreshes every 30 seconds.

I have the same problem in my site when someone want to chat with anyone then it takes 30 seconds to ring but after that their is no response ....... -

this might fill in your needs quite well, and you can combine it with TokBox for a fix across the Video/Chat arena as well.
Both of them are free and easy to integrate.
We're working with the SoGO team to develop an advanced chat solution for the platform which will retire the current version. Until that time, the other tools might fit the bill.

So obviously the IM feature is kind of a must have, especially if your A) paying for your SocialGo account and B) have a paid membership network that members expect will have intergrated chat funtionality. We (the customers that keep SocialGo up and running) need to have a final resolution to this ongoing problem. Someone has to own this on your side. The number one reason businesses lose customers isnt cost, its service. From a business standpoint executives at SocialGo need to be both concerned and worried about this. Were talking months now, not days. Charge everyone $5-10 more per month to have an expert come in and fix the application and let move on. Who-Im is not the answer for membership websites that charge members. -

We are working double-time to complete the solutions, test them, and get them into your hands asap. We hope that this will allow you to retire the existing video chat and start offering one of the most useful and unique communication solutions of any social networking platform.
