How do I feature a video on the welcome page
Is there a way to feature a video on the Welcome page. Or, if that's not possible, is there a way to feature it on any page, and then make that page the welcome page.

We're actually about to release a video tutorial on this..
* You firstly need to upload your video to a video host. Youtube, Dailymotion or Vimeo can provide this service.
* You then need to go into your Layout Manager, click on your welcome page and then double click on the welcome page widget.
* When the welcome page widget box pops up, delete the default image and click on the video button
* You can then paste in your video URL into the dialog box.

I have tried your suggestion, and it almost works. The problem I have is that the video I want to feature is stored inside the socialgo site. How do I get the internal URL for the video?

Inappropriate?You can actually do this but cutting an pasting the source code of the video. If you view the source of the web page of the uploaded video and find the code for the video. you can insert the code into an HTML widget.
Bit of a hack but it does work. I must say though, you can save bandwidth $$$ by using external video sites like youtube. -

Yes any we stopped embedding on SocialGO networks because too many users we're complaining that it was rinsing their bandwidth costs. This essentially will save you alot of money. Youtube, Dailymotion or Vimeo is your best bet for now.. If you need any help with this mail me at support@socialgo.com
