thank you for signing up

Why should a regular user see the "Thanks for signing up" greeting? ...
It should be displayed only once, after someone who has just signed up.

Now to the three pieces under " Now what?

1. Upload Profile Photo, Add a photo to your profile.
2. Edit Profile Add info to your profile.
3. Friends Browse existing members.

All these are superfluous.
While signing up a person gets to know about Item 1 and Item 2
and, in addition, the 'Manage Account' is just 1cm away towards left.
As for item 3, the 'Members' button is conspicously above in the top menu.

It will be great if these three are replaced by items of more communicational value but are not readily visible at first glance.. Chat, Wall, PM are some examples.
