Yes Alex I want to add this. I have who Im and it is popular. I want to add a TokBox tab to my sit as well and I am working on that.

We'll have a full "how to" video coming online shortly for the new VideoChat. In the meantime, a couple of tips:

1) You must remove the old Who-IM code from your site (wherever it is installed) before using the new VideoChat. The functions of Who-IM (status indicator and IM) are duplicated in the new product;

2) You must clear your browser memory cache (in Firefox this is in the Tools/Privacy section), then reload your site page.



3) The video and audio require that you first setup your camera and microphone using the dialogue box that comes on screen the first time (or right click and select "settings"). If you have previously used your camera/microphone, be sure that the settings are correct for that device, as you simply may not have the proper input device selected by default

4) There are controls for you to turn on/off the audio or video and control the levels of your speaker/headset as well as the gain of your microphone. This allows both parties to obtain an optimal A/V balance level between themselves.

5) There is private one to one written chat available below the A/V portion of the private channel so you can share private messages directly once a link has been established.

Sorry EG above is not correct question, I have dropped it into the left sidebar. its camera, and text chat are working but I don't know audio chat I'm along on my network, couldn't test it. But what I noticed is that first pop-up window which is just "Who-Im" isn't able to be moved. It is opening in not convenient part of my network.

Its easy & nice to chat with anyone, i like it but the problem is not all online members showing in new chat tab.

The video is not working on mine, and I have cleared the cache and everything.

It could be that you have to first setup the A/V for Adobe Flash.
Right click on the black video screen when you initiate a call, and choose "Settings". Then check your camera and audio sources, and select if you want to always allow (and remember) your preference.

D: Remove Who-IM?? Will the new one have just a IM only feature that is just as small? My members love Who-IM... If the new one isn't liked, will I have the option of switching back till the final release is out?

Tried that, still no bueno. For the record, I have used tokbox easily with this same configuration.

You have something else that is monopolizing the Adobe Flash video module. Shut off all programs, start over, and you will find it.

What is your Operating System? (please lord don't say "Vista"....)

I couldn't make any Video call by this new video chat. When I call to someone who is shown as on-line, the new black pop-up window is saying all the time "Your video chat is starting. Please wait..."

Should my old members who got member during old Who- IM clear their browser memory cache in order to use new video Chat?

Whenever you load a new version of code, it is a good idea to
1) Empty the Cache; and
2) Reload your browser.

Same is true for anyone who was using the old code and still has their browser open.

Also, be sure to check for latest version of Flash (thanks Ryan).

These things sort out over time when everyone has been using the product for a bit... their cache has only new code.

Is it possible to give this another name besides video chat? The label obviously implies video and users who don't want to do video chat may not be aware that it's for regular chat, too.

Can we relabel this to plain, simple "Chat"? (And please don't say my only option is the confusing "Who-IM" title, lol.) ;) Thanks.

We're going to be updating the Title on Video Chat to allow you (or anyone) to put your own Title in there via a configuration menu or similar. In the next release.

In the meantime, you can turn off the title completely for now by using this CSS in your Ads & Custom HTML area in the Ads Box (between <style></style> tags if you've not used them for other CSS):

Changing the background color of who-IM stops transparency!
