My clips page should be a news network, need whole feed instead of the shortlist.
I want to create a company newsletter email from RSS using my socialmedian clips. I Clip a lot of stories and then have it sent once a week via a service called Nour.ish . Unfortunately, I would have to send clips everyday to get all my content into the email. Why do you cut off my feed after the first page? I essentially want a feed for my 'hotlist' http://www.socialmedian.com/Buzzd/hot... as opposed to how it is now http://www.socialmedian.com/Buzzd
I only do it this way because I cant create a public news network that only I can contribute content to but anyone can comment on. Thats how the 'my clips' page should work
I want to show that my company is active in the online dialogue in our space, and we have chosen socialmedian as a good place to integrate with a larger community and promote discussion internally at the same time. We would link to you on our corporate site and get people to join the conversation with us. However, your settings are making it impractical for us to use you as our platform of choice. I wish more companies had a blogroll or google reader shared items feed so I could see what topics get read at various innovative companies.
I have a lot of thoughts about socialmedian but you guys dont seem to be listening to me. It feels like since getting bought out, socialmedian has essentially become a dead project.

Inappropriate?Michael,
I am sorry for your frustration. Let me pass this on to the developers to see what they see as a proper solution to make you and other users happy. I am sure if you have this desire others have thought of it as well.
I am sorry you feel like social median has become a dead project. That is definitely not the case. If anything we are gong to work even harder to make things better.
Again, my apologies for your frustration. We'll look more into this for you.

Inappropriate?Michael -- we are listening! We've been very busy lately planning some big new features ... apologies if you have not be able to get the responses you desired.
Can you please provide a little more information on what you are trying to accomplish and then we can discuss potential best solutions? I'm still a bit confused as to what it is you want to achieve. -
Inappropriate?Really glad to hear you are listening. I saw your FB connect push today - great work on that.
Really, what I want is a place where I can collect only links that *I have clipped* as being relevant to a topic, so that I can share internally (and externally if anyone is interested). I work for a mobile startup called Buzzd. [www.buzzd.com] Our company emails around links to interesting articles, but not everyone has the time to read all of them as they come across. I used to use delicious to create a feed of all the links so they were in one place, but I love socialmedian because people can comment on the stories, and they are shared with other relevant networks, so the larger community can discover and discuss. Also, I can use socialmedian to find stories to add to the feed. There are many mobile news publications, but I want to use socialmedian to be my own editor and keep it relevant to my company.
The frustration comes when I want to create a place with no noise - where it is only the links that I have specified. Currently, the way I hacked something like this was to create an account called Buzzd and use the 'my clips' page. (I couldnt use my account because I share lots of items that arent relevant to Buzzd or the mobile industry). So with my new (company) account I can clip and the 'my clips' page gives me a clean feed with no topic-related suggestions - and then I can let our employees or interested Buzzd users actually see everything we are reading at Buzzd - via socialmedian, or RSS feed, or via email (i use Nour.ish to create a newsletter from the feed, see below).
However the feed of 'my clips' cuts off after only like 15 items and so if I have shared a lot that week, the older stuff gets cut off. So what I do is email the link to http://www.socialmedian.com/Buzzd/hot... as the place to read all the stories and tell users to RSS a different link: http://www.socialmedian.com/Buzzd (this link also generates the email). However, not all the stories I have clipped since last week get included due to the problem mentioned previously. I also have to have other employees send links to me so I can add them.
Ideal world is a group where anyone can follow or comment but only our employees can add new links, and only these links show up on the page, and then we can create an RSS feed and a Weekly email of all the links from the last week. The Buzzd Industry Newsletter.
I’m thankful
