Social Mention
is committed to open conversation about its products and services. Conversations should be conducted in the spirit of the Company-Customer Pact.
Can I suggest new data sources I think you should add to your index? I'm thinking about big (huges!) french forums or blogging plateforms, such as :
- http://www.aufeminin.com/world/commun... (more than 30 millions messages on these forums)
- http://www.skyrock.com/blog/ (25 millions blogs, more than 20 000 created every day).
These are two major data sources for conversations in french, I think you should seriously consider to include them in your index ;-).
can have regional specific search? I'm from HK. I think "mention" within social network is very important. Thus I suggest to add facebook connect in your website and can specific search "mention" within network.
btw, in HK you can add "Openrice.com", "hk.blog.yahoo.com" a lot "mention" inside :)
After performing a queery, when I click on the "CSV/Excel File" link at the top right, I get an HTML page and not a csv file. Do you know how I can get a csv file of all my results?
How can I set up my search for UK mentions only? I've tried using Advanced Search and have reset my Preferences to be English only. But none of these options seem to work? Please help!?
Is the data (for example, the number of unique authors) calculated on a daily basis (or otherwise)? Meaning, is it the number of unique authors over all time or just that day? I understand that this is in real-time, but does the data for strength, passion, sentiment, etc., take into account prior days, months, and so on, or just that day? Appreciate the help as this seems to be a great resource!
I want to eliminate as much noise in the results as possible and am electing to add between 5 and 8 keywords that MUST all be present. I have tried to add these many words (with and without a plus sign in front of each) in the advanced search section but the results seem to provide links where just one or some of the words are present.
Hey guys.... I run 12seconds.tv - You guys are using our search API and are not abiding by the 1 request per minute rule. We don't automate this yet, but it is still a violation of the use of our API. We've had to block you.. if you can change your settings to ping us less than once a minute, I'll be happy to unblock your search engine IP. Thanks!
I love this product and I think it would be very useful. For most of your searches though I notice that a lot of results are missing. I have no problem with this but if I use this for anything I would like to be able to say the results are based on a certain sample set etc. Could you please let me know how I can justify the information I receive from this program.
I searched for "Pretty Wicked" and got 850 tweet mentions on Search.twitter.com, on social mention- microblogs, I only get 140 from the exported CSV report- any reason for this discrepancy?
I am curious about how your search algorithm works? A search for WMMBlog returns inaccurate results. Last mention 30-days ago? WMMBlog has 4 posts a day on Twitter not to mention 25 other social media sites.
It would be good if you can select multiple sources, for example, running a search on the keyword 'baby formula' from blogs, microblogs, comments, Q&A instead of selecting 'ALL' as I only want user generated content.
i work for letstalk.com and try to use your service to track our visibility. Recently unrelated posts from identi.ca have permeated the microblog category for us and are creating a big problem- showing up in our reports, but not mentioning us anywhere. What's up with that?
If you use this company's products or services, we'll add the company to your dashboard. If you work for this company, we'll add you as an employee. Got it, thanks!
