Not leaving users in the dark
Let us know: It looks like you are back up or have been back up and are to some extent down again. I have a suggestion that is not about this situation, but is about this happening in the future. All of us are here on beta. We know that means there may well be periods with the system is not working, and we accept that as part of the 'bargain.' But things will go wrong after beta is over. Good public relations would be having a mailing list that you use when things go down to inform all the users and say something about how long you think it will take to get back up. People are generally willing to be understanding, but they are more willing when they are not left in the dark.
