How to keep friends' tweets out of my LifeStream? Last reply on April 20, 2008 03:44.

Although I unchecked "Show my friends updates in my Lifestream" for my twitter feed, I'm still getting all my friends' twitter posts in my lifestream

As of yesterday, I'm seeing duplicates of my own twitter messages. Anyone else seeing this?

mobile versions and fluid supported? Last reply on April 19, 2008 18:09.

I think it would be cool if the row in the life stream didn't have a min-width. I use Fluid to create a stand alone app for Socialthing and It would be real nifty to be able to narrow the window to about 500 px or so.

twitter amicable Last reply on April 19, 2008 18:03.

I want to be able to aggregate people's twitter followers and following. I want to know who in someone's account is both and who is one or the other. It would be a great way to find new people to follow! You could see who has amicable relationships.

Does this exist? Can it be a feature add to differentiate Socialthing from others?

Custom Domain Support Last reply on April 19, 2008 18:01.

Does (will) SocialThing support custom domains? That would be ideal for me.

socialthing should make nice with IM Last reply on April 19, 2008 17:55.

    Two words: IM support.

I love socialthing but I'd love it even more if it integrated with msn messenger and other chat clients...

I still haven't received the email confirmation. Last reply on March 14, 2008 06:51.

After receiving an invite I filled out the profile form, clicked submit, and waited after the confirmation page said an email would be on its way. After a half hour of waiting (and checking my spam folder) I clicked the resend confirmation email link. Still nothing. It's now been 90 minutes or so. I'm now wondering if I somehow entered a bad email (despite the dual entry). What to do?

Opera/OSX Settings page bug Last reply on April 17, 2008 04:37.

On Opera, the Settings page has a grey transparent area that covers the area below Lifestream, making all the links underneath unclickable. The box remains when I click on the Feedback link, but disappears when I reload the Feedback page.

The grey area has a small indentation at the top edge, running from the start of the vertical line left of 'Lifestream' to approximately the same distance from the right side of the screen as it is from the left.

This is my first time using socialthing, and so I haven't been able to use any of the services yet.

    Mac OSX 10.4.11
    Opera 9.26

Should one update from multiple services be grouped together? Last reply on April 16, 2008 17:48.

When one of my friends updates multiple services (ie Twitter and Pownce) with the same message, should the lifestream display those messages separately or as one message?
    Example:
ABC is now playing with SocialThing! from twitter
ABC is now playing with SocialThing! from pownce
ABC is now playing with SocialThing! from facebook

    Should be:

ABC is now playing with SocialThing! from Twitter, Pownce, Facebook

Flickr VIDEO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Last reply on April 16, 2008 03:38.

For those who haven't discovered yet, Flickr now supports VIDEO! and of course integration with Socialthing! would be cool as well. No rush, just putting it out there.

Personal Items in Lifestream Only, RSS accessible Last reply on April 16, 2008 01:40.

Is it possible to filter your lifestream to just be your personal activity and then access that via an RSS feed? I'd love to replicate the lifestream concept on my blog and am currently redoing this all on my own as a WordPress plugin (don't like the existing ones) - but it would save a ton of time to use a better service at grabbing all my data, and then just using that feed to populate my data for my blog....

    Thanks

PS - This concept would really require the ability to add _any_ RSS feed to your lifestream to support self-hosted blog sites, lesser known social sites/video sites/etc.

Multiple services means multiple messages multiple times. Last reply on March 14, 2008 01:37.

I and a couple of my friends use hellotxt to send updates to twitter, pounce, and sometimes jaiku and facebook. This creates an issue as then socialthing presents 2-4 of the same message for the same person, one for each service. Is there someway to aggregate identical messages and then just put more than one source tag icon on it?

i don't know what to do with my lifestream Last reply on April 15, 2008 00:07.

ok, cool, i can see stuff happening across sites. this is the feature that facebook and bebo and myspace have, but across sites. neat, that's fun. however, you don't give me anything to DO with my lifestream. am i supposed to sit here and look at it? does it auto-refresh? is it widgetized? can i share it, redistribute it, subscribe to it, or publish it? give me a clue in the UI what I'm supposed to do next, after looking at this page.

Repeat Facebook status updates throughout Last reply on April 10, 2008 01:11.

Sometimes when I go to "socialthing.com", one certain facebook status update always repeats every two entries or so. So say person A posted an update, every two or three entries would always be person A's update. However, when I refresh the lifestream, the dupes go away.
