Character counter on post status via newly integrated ping.fm
I would love to see a character counter added to the newly integrated ping.fm. This way we know we won't exceed the maximum characters allowed by many of the microblogging sites (twitter, identi.ca, etc).

Inappropriate?Anyone at socialthing agree? Looks like all of the textareas on ST have a char counter w/ the exception of ping.fm. Any chance this will be added. Yay or nay.

Inappropriate?ping.fm posts to some things that don't have post limits--so instead of cutting you off, it could just count allowing you to stop at your discretion. Or maybe even auto-detect and alter what the max post length is based on the lowest common denominator of the services you are posting to.

Inappropriate?I think just having a character count would be fine - not a limit per se like Twitter et al. But since I use ping.fm to update my Twitter, it would be nice to see if I'm getting close to 140 or not... -
Inappropriate?I'm pretty sure a character count would be implemented rather than a limit.
For now when I'm using Ping.fm to update to microblogging sites, I just enable Ping.fm AND Twitter checkboxes so I have the limit displayed while still posting to all services.
