We have switched over to the new Facebook Connect method of authentication. Please try removing and readding your Facebook account (you must have popups enabled for socialthing.com). Let us know about any issues you encounter.

Inappropriate?I have been having this problem continually since Facebook rolled out their UI changes to all users. Could this be an issue with the application on "New Facebook"?
This does really need looking at; I've had to re-authenticate Facebook about eight times in the last two days, and the updates still haven't loaded.
It would be encouraging to see someone from SocialThing responding to this thread to say they're taking a look at it.

Inappropriate?Ok, I appear to have found a solution from digging around on this board - its loaded my Facebook data for the first time in days (although I'm not sure yet if it'll ask me to reauthenticate within a few hours!!)
You need to remove Facebook from the SocialThing completely, and also log into Facebook, go to apps in the bottom left hand corner, click "edit", then go through all the menu options (particularly "Authorized" and "Additional permissions", but check all of them) and make sure you remove the SocialThing app wherever it is.
Then, come back to SocialThing and add Facebook. You'll get slightly different prompts following the login this time, and you'll have to set your privacy options for the Facebook data again (it defaults to public, and sharing the updates with everyone).
Its great to see my Facebook data back in ST again, but I'm seriously hacked off that there's been no communication from the ST team themselves about doing this, and that nobody has replied here - I've had to find the solution myself from other users!!
Makes me wonder if I should be recommending ST to anyone. Its a great opportunity for them right now to seize a chunk of the userbase that is frustrated with the Facebook changes, and this is what they do.

What does this mean to "remove facebook from the social thing completely"? also, if I can't load facebook at all, how can I log in and go to the apps and follow that part of these instructions? sometimes facebook will load, randomly, but other times i just get a blank screen. annoying! -
Inappropriate?It was working great for me until about two days ago and now I am having the same re-authentication issue. I am going to try the solution posted above and see if it helps.

Inappropriate?do not try to fix this inside Fluid if you are running ST! as a fluid app. all kinds of fail in launching the window.
