Facebook/Twitter updates
Many of my friends use both Twitter and Facebook, and have their tweets update their Facebook status. This basically results in double posts. Is there a way/option to filter out Facebook status updates that contain "is twittering:"?

In order to "rename" someone, just click on their name in the activity. For instance, I'm neogia on twitter and raider7118 on flickr. If you rename both of those to "Ben Brightwell", then updates from both of those services appear together in one group (assuming you're sorting by User), and facebook, twitter, and pownce automatically de-duplicate themselves (while still informing you which services that update occurred on).

So there is an option to "rename" people in your list, to name them the same name. Once this has been done, anything that is within an "identity" will de-dupe. We've got a much more intuitive "grouping" interface on its way and this will be immensely more understandable.
Beyond that, very soon we'll be doing this with Socialthing! users in general, and then soon thereafter, with any users.

Inappropriate?hmmm ... did that but doesn't seem to de-dupe. also, does the grouping not work on the iphone version?
-
Inappropriate?@ksc that should de-dupe things. If you have the exact same name for two people in your Lifestream and they post the same content to Twitter/Flickr/Pownce, etc. it should automatically group them all together...
There will be a new grouping scheme that's coming soon -
