I want my Facebook newsfeed in my lifestream
The lifestream, should show (in addition to what is shows now), all the items from your facebook news feed. Currently I social thing doesn't replace logging in to Facebook to check my newsfeed. But I wish it would.

We'd love to get the News Feed in there, unfortunately they don't expose that via the API. We're actively trying to get as much data as we can, but as of right now we can't get the full News Feed

Inappropriate?i thought at one time there was an rss feed for your news feed, but i just looked and that does not seem to be the case.......screw you facebook!

Inappropriate?Facebook have three RSS feeds - status updates, notifications and posted items - would be nice to get the contents of all three of those into SocialThing, currently I guess we're only getting the first.

Inappropriate?Having had a closer compare, it doesn't look like we're getting all the status updates at the SocialThing end. What appears to be coming out are the status updates and pictures posted which Facebook deems important enough to post to the news feed, which isn't the same as what is coming out on the status update RSS feed. For example one of my friends has a status update that hasn't appeared on SocialThing, isn't on the news feed in Facebook, but is in the "Live Feed" tab, and has also appeared in the status update RSS feed that I have running into FriendFeed.
I'm aware you're dealing with the Facebook API, but it would be good if you could get the equivalent of the RSS fee contents into SocialThing.

Inappropriate?There does seem to be another issue with Facebook feeds at the moment, ever since they enforced the switch, that stops any updates from appearing and forces reauthentication every couple of hours. There's another thread on here about that, but nobody from ST seems to have looked at it yet :(

Inappropriate?Guys, here's how to get Facebook updates back if they have recently stopped:
You need to remove Facebook from the SocialThing completely, and also log into Facebook, go to apps in the bottom left hand corner, click "edit", then go through all the menu options (particularly "Authorized" and "Additional permissions", but check all of them) and make sure you remove the SocialThing app wherever it is.
Then, come back to SocialThing and add Facebook. You'll get slightly different prompts following the login this time, and you'll have to set your privacy options for the Facebook data again (it defaults to public, and sharing the updates with everyone).
