Inappropriate?I'd love to say that it's coming soon, but we haven't really been able to work on it yet. For us to be able to build one, we've got to get closer to having our API done, which is still in the works.
Rest assured, all of us at Socialthing! have iPhones and we're wanting it just as much as you are, so it might be coming sooner than later, but I can't give an exact date by any means...just know that we're working on it!

Inappropriate?I found that adding Socialthing! to the home screen has pretty much the same effect as a native application.
No native application will be running in the background to provide you with updates anyway since there are issues with battery life.
I’m happy

Inappropriate?Well, with the upcoming version 2.1 and the push services finally coming an app running in the background (kind of like MobileChat does) would make sense, don't you think...?!
I’m not sure if a native app wouldn't be better
-
Inappropriate?Personally, I hate web apps....they feel like cheap knock-offs of real apps, and are far less easy to use. I'd love a native app...I'd probably replace twitteriffic and maybe even facebook with Socialthing!
And yes, the push services in the background with allow for Socialthing! to update while not running. That is, if the developers to decide to implement push notifications.
I’m excited for the iPhone app, when it does come
