Mobile SocialThing doesn't update for hours

The mobile version of SocialThing initially worked great for me, but soon after I started, I began to notice that hours would sometimes pass before new items were updated into the lifestream, even though the desktop web app was up to date. Repeated browser refreshes do no good. Sometimes (but not always) I can coerce it into updating by switching to the standard desktop web app, refreshing a time or two, coming back to the mobile version, and refreshing again a time or two.
