Multiple services means multiple messages multiple times.
I and a couple of my friends use hellotxt to send updates to twitter, pounce, and sometimes jaiku and facebook. This creates an issue as then socialthing presents 2-4 of the same message for the same person, one for each service. Is there someway to aggregate identical messages and then just put more than one source tag icon on it?

vafarmboy, part of the (current) ambiguity of the renaming process is that Facebook friends are not automatically "renamed". So, to be sure, rename Facebook people by clicking their name and simply hitting enter (unless you're like me and like to remove middle initials or call them by their nickname, etc.) We're working on making this automatic, and should be done soon.

Inappropriate?Absolutely...we're actively working on this right now. We'll have an implementation for the current version of the site coming soon, and then the next big revision of the site will implement this much better...
Thanks!
In the meantime, we have a "renaming" feature, where you can click on someone's name. As long as two items have been renamed to the same name, they should group automatically...

Inappropriate?Thx! I'll give that a shot

Inappropriate? Can you guys add the 'reply' button to the grouped items? (ie: reply to twitter) maybe just as an icon next to the name of the service?
I’m confident

Inappropriate?Apparently the Facebook Twitter app adds "is Twittering: " to messages, which prevents it from aggregating. Might want to wrap that into whatever globs them all together.
