Thanks for the kind words guys...and yes, we're very much working hard on getting the next version out there...it's a massive improvement.
As for adding Plurk, we're open to adding any app, so long as it makes sense for us, that app, and our users. They don't have basic RSS support just yet for it's impossible for us to integrate just yet, but hopefully they fix that soon enough...

Inappropriate?Plurk will fade into irrelevance with their current user experience so I wouldn't move them up on the list. Focus on what matters please.

Inappropriate?Ha, what social networks matter?
The people that I talk to love the experience after playing with it for a good twenty minutes. What successful social networks haven't been unique? You'll find that it will grow very quickly. Have you even used it? The online app is quite useful too and very appealing to say the least.

Inappropriate?I meant improving the Socialthing features. Yes, I played with Plurk this weekend along with my other twitter friends who are disappointed with twitter. I won't speak for them, but I found Plurk overwhelming which to me makes it not useable. I don't have big expectations for them is all I'm saying. Now ST is on the way to stardom if they don't F it up.

Inappropriate?I most definitely agree, sir. Socialthing! is fantastic. I just wished they had more services right now. They're on the way though!

i think they do have RSS support. I just tried adding it to my Google Reader page.. but I read they are working on an API. So yeah I think plurk isnt as good as twitter and pownce, but it does have some fans -
Inappropriate?I believe that Plurk does have RSS support. For example, here's my Plurk RSS feed: http://www.plurk.com/user/scottorama.xml
Don't mind the Plurk haters. They're just scared their community on Twitter will disappear if too many people join Plurk. I see Twitter and Plurk as completely different services filling different niches.
Add it to your vote page if nothing else.
I’m indifferent

Inappropriate? We'll be adding it to our vote page next. Definitely something we can likely add...just have to figure out the best implementation...looks like they'll also have an API soon!

Where do you see that they'll have an API soon? It's quite often asked for on their getsatisfaction page, but they don't respond to e-mails letting them know GSFN exists, nor... respond at all to any e-mails, really. So why do you say there will be an API soon? -
Inappropriate?I agree, I'd love to see Plurk added. I spend about 50% of my social time on Twitter and then spend about the equal amount of time on Plurk and Brightkite.
I’m happy

Inappropriate?Dear chrisWhite and the innumerable others:
Please add an API for application developers (go say you like this idea). it's also in the wishlist. -
Inappropriate?I've just released WWW::Plurk - a Perl implementation of the unofficial API.
I’m pleased to announce
-
You should post about this in the "Please add an API for application developers" link I posted just above yours. Unless you don't want people who actually want to use it to see it? -
My word but you have an unfortunate turn of phrase Thomas. Yeah, right - I don't want people to see it. That's why I just spent my weekend writing it, released it early to people who asked, posted an announcement here and on Plurk. Ah well. I've posted on the other thread too. -
Of course I think you actually want people to see it, I was just wondering why you chose here, of all places, to announce it (and here alone, until I pointed out the Plurk section). -
Cool - I guess it just came out wrong then :)
I've released it to CPAN which means it's automatically announced to anyone who follows CPAN uploads - and it'll be easily googleable as a result too. I also posted on Plurk. If you can think of anywhere else it should be announced give me a shout.
