Socialthing doesn't work with Fluid on OS X anymore...
What happened recently that broke Socialthing and Fluid on OS X? I used to use Socialthing on my mac w/ Fluid, and now it refuses to log me in... but it works just fine in Safari... *confused*

Inappropriate? It's working fine for me right now as I'm typing this. I have the iPhone url configured with Fluid. Maybe try that?

Inappropriate? It's weird... I launch socialthing in Fluid (using the desktop URL of https://socialthing.com/#&lifestream:0:0:e30=& )... I get the login screen. I enter my credentials and it opens the same login page in Safari. I enter my credentials again there, and it logs me in. In Safari. I don't get it. Very strange. Updated to the most recent version of Fluid.
Just tried creating a new Fluid app w/ the URL... exact same behavior.
I’m frustrated

Inappropriate?I was just going to suggest updating Fluid as well. I was using 0.8.5 up until a few minutes ago. The iPhone url (www.socialthing.com/iphone) is much nicer in my opinion, and fits in the corner of your screen like a Twitter or Pownce app. It's been working flawless for a long time.

Inappropriate?Just tried doing exactly what you did and it worked for me. Try clearing your history and cookies etc and logging in again.

Inappropriate?I have the same problem. When Ross's video by the letter (i even used the iphone link) Socialthing! loads the desktop sized webpage and prompts me to sign in there. Signing in on fluid opens my default web browser (Safari) which makes me sign in again. When i get to my livestream. It's in the safari browser?
Something I missed?

Inappropriate?Just got in contact with the developer. It's not a *bug* at all. Fluid has a new feature: URL whitelists and blacklists. In version 0.9, go to the Socialthing app preferences/advanced, and then click "Allow browsing to any URL" or just add socialthing.com to the Allow List.
Once you log in, it may take you to the full screen version of the Lifestream. Just close the window and open it again, and you should be all set! -
Inappropriate?Ah thanks it works for the normal site now. I still can't get it to display the iphone page yet >.<
I’m undecided

Inappropriate?Try adding the long Socialthing! URL from the normal site to the Allow List
