Why can't I see direct messages?
I thought SocialThing! used to display direct Twitter messages. But recently none of the direct messages I've been receiving have been showing up. Was that functionality removed?

Inappropriate?We did used to show them. It was a choice to remove them initially because when you were logged in, we updated Twitter every 5 minutes. Every time we fetch your data, we're doing two calls (me and me+friends) and adding direct messages and replies adds another call respectively.
Right now Twitter has dialed back their API requests to 30 per user per hour. Requesting me, me+friends, directs every 5 minutes while logged in accounts for 36 calls (exceeding the limit). We have come up with a way so that we'll be able to do this while scaling back the times associated with the calling. You can expect directs as an option very soon.
