Well, mainly because of a few things...

Text messaging is very expensive for one...so we're not quite prepared to be able to do that just yet...

However, we've got a feature in the works that would essentially do what you're wanting...we'll let you know when it's out. Sorry we're being so secretive about it, but it's really pretty top secret.
