Adding "Location" results in 0 results
Have tried several permutations - Portland, "Portland, OR" and 97212. Am assuming entering a ZIP gives me a decent radius around the ZIP, but there isn't a UI cue to confirm that. And city/state combo fails despite all capitalization/punctuation combos. Always seeing 0 results despite dozens of actual potential results.

Inappropriate?So 8th months after Jamie said you would look into it, the problem continues. It's strange that you don't have some directions on the site, like "enter a state" or "enter a zip code." Or even include a drop-down list of states. -

Sorry we didn't close the loop on this question. You can enter city, state (like Los Angeles, CA) or zip code into this field. Country names should also work. We use the Google Map API, so anything you can type into maps.google.com should work.
And Patrick you're right, it seems like our prefilled instruction that says "Enter zip or city, state" is missing right now. We'll get that up as soon as we can.
Lastly, if the problem is that you're typing your city name and it does not return results, it's possible we don't have people that fit your criteria in that region.
If you email me the filters you were using (to katherine@thread.com), I can see if I can replicate/investigate what you're seeing.
