Many friends of friends - what to do next?
I have invited about 6 friends and now have over 600 friends of friends - so this should give a good amount to see how threads is working. But I am not sure what to do now.
1. Some of those friends of friends are not yet MY friends. How do I see that? How do I invited those not-yet-friends to BECOME friends?
2. When I acctidently have hidden somebody - how do I unhide?
3. Why do some friends not show their profile photo although they clearly have one on Facebook.
Thanks for your enlightment
George

Inappropriate?Hi George!!!
Are you interested in meeting new people or matching friends together? Thread allows you to view your friends of friends network so you can either ask a mutual friend a question, forward a profile to a friend already on thread or send a FB message directly to the person that you are viewing.
1) To see your friends that are on thread please:
- click on Search
- click on Friends of <dropdown> on the left
- to Invite more Facebook friends you can go to the homepage and send an invitation from there or use the invite link on the top right next to the log out link.
2) When are on the Search tab and you click "x" to hide ... on the right of the search pane you will see the view buttons and below are the 2ndary navigation with "hide".
- Click on "hide" and you can undo (see screenshot attached)
3) We allow only what Facebook allows so this is probably due to your friend's privacy settings on FB.
Let me know if you have any more questions,
Skye

Inappropriate?Hi George,
One more thing -- on your question about friends' profile photos not showing up, we also sometimes see latency/issues while requesting photos from Facebook. Often times, you'll see these photos appearing later upon refresh or next login.
This is a known issue with Facebook's FBML tag for profile pics that impacts many sites/apps like ours. We've raised this issue to them Facebook, along with other developers who have reported the same thing.
Hopefully there will be an improvement soon. Thanks again for asking.

Inappropriate?I think I got it. ONly that matchmaking is not what I do. So I would be more interested to take the way back to FB (and befriend there) but select better.
Imagine you have a lot of friends and therefore friends of friends (fof) to go through. Would it not be good that you could see only fofs that are not your friends yet. Then click on the profile and go back to fb. You see little icons of your friends to show who of the profiles above belongs to who. I cannot find an indicator that shows that this profile is already your friend. If you have many - this can happen. More a Befriending machine... I think I misunderstood what threads would be and do. But its an interesting concept - there are different dating styles for sure... g

Inappropriate?Hi George,
Thanks! I think you are suggesting some new features for us:
(1) An indicator to know if someone you're looking at on Thread is already a Facebook friend of yours.
(2) A link to someone's Facebook profile.
(3) Possibly, a way to send a Facebook friend request from Thread.
Did I get this right? We are pretty sure there is no way to do (3) on our site right now, but we're considering (2) as a workaround. And we'll also think about (1) for people who have a lot of Facebook friends.
Thanks again George. Keep sending us feedback and letting us know how to evolve the site.
